is a non-profit animal protection association, which carries out castrations of street and private animals in Romania. We help with the care of pets that are in need. Why Romania? Of course we are also happy to help four-legged friends in other countries, if we get to know about their distress! Fortunately in Germany you don't meet a dishevelled dog living on the street on every corner.

15.09.2019 We had castrated them in May and immediately after that we sent them to a fish breeder in the neighboring village where they should run free and watch out. Now we have both of them again. What do you do with such dogs?
Shari we got in August 2018 as a young dog thrown over the fence with an open wound from an ingrown collar. I stood about 100 m away and couldn't see it through the bushes - only hear it. The cars even drove past me, but I only found the girl later - completely intimidated. She can only be touched by two people. She made it and bewitched a visitor who took her to Germany. She often ran after me and after consultation with the owners we were allowed to castrate her - and keep her, because she is not good for killing rats anyway. I asked for her brother - the owner had already done him, we were too late. at the morning round I open two kennels of dogs, which all reappear at noon for feeding. In the evening, when the hustle and bustle is over, the young dogs from two other kennels are allowed to romp around a bit. Before and after that the patients have their exercise. Too bad that the fence around the whole property was removed during the planned closure last year, otherwise they could all be free all day and night. This will be the first project as soon as all dogs have found a sponsor and it is important that we save this enormously important project. Unfortunately, not many dogs have a permanent care provider yet.

Here I have tested how the bitch reacts when I want to lift her into the car. We had the order of the owner to pick her up for neutering. When I was about to lift the friendly ball of wool into the car, a lady came and said that she also feeds the dog and does not agree that we take her with us. What should we do? We moved on from there.
We will not force our way through, let the two of them come to an agreement on their own first. There are enough people who gratefully accept our help and we do not have enough donors anyway to be able to castrate whole regions...

Our dogs are not numbers, but lifeblood. We want to save their future and the project. Many of them are natives and have been in the shelter since the clinic was built in 2014. Their exact stories are often not known, but there was very well kept records! This is remarkable by Romanian standards and we have digitized all important information internationally.

Castration and medical care extend the life of the animals and thus occupy the space in the long term. Every single neutered animal reduces a lot of suffering for humans and animals. We are confident that one day it will pay off and until then we are happy about the small successes.

3 weeks "vacation" are over since a few days. The construction of the project seems hardly possible from Germany. I work the summer in an open shelter with 1000 dogs. Many of them live free and you can quickly see that despite the disadvantages of this attitude they are much better off than the emergency dogs crammed into kennels. Does anyone want to help me on site? The need to castrate dogs in the countryside is enormous! A summer in Romania is definitely an unforgettable adventure!

A violent tornado swept through the country and I was cut off for a few days because it had washed away the stone road. When I worked on the mud this morning so that there would be no grooves when drying, I found this horseshoe. It must have been there for several decades. Shortly after hanging up, the excavators, tractors and rollers came closer and closer. They have been busy in scorching heat all day. I hung the lucky charm on the house of a lovely family who stayed with me for a few days. They even knew it was lucky and were happy.

07.09.20109 We brought the puppies back neutered. We would have liked to wait a little until they are older, but we won't be back until spring and the danger is too great that we won't be back in time. We hope that it will be easier if we can find other comrades-in-arms to help us on site.
20.06.2019 Five bundle of joy should get a nice home in Germany. The parents are 50 cm tall and the puppies are still very small, so there is a high probability that they will also grow about 50 cm tall. They are trustful babies with a friendly mother and they run around freely. We still need 220€ for the preparation to be able to hand them over properly treated with passports to a German animal protection organization.

02.06.2019 My heart opens. Do you know how long it's been since I've seen puppies without shelter stress? Their mother takes touching care of them and lives quietly in a barn. This 3 year old mom is the milestone for the mission. Of course she will be neutered as soon as the poopies are fledged. The owners are very much looking forward to the prospect that this birthing machine will soon no longer be busy raising puppies all the time, but will instead hopefully do its job of chasing away wild pigs and the fox.
